Weberson Santiago

Another interesting blog from another talented illustrator. He’s Weberson Santiago, from Brazil. He’s got a nice, playful style. His drawings kind of remind me the books I used to have when I was a kid.

Anyway, I suggest you go visit his blog, which has another nice detail. Whenever he adds a new picture of him, he also adds a couple of links of some other cool artists’ sites like Imaginozoide, base-v, and Mariana Massarani

The photoshop experiment

The photoshop experiment is a blog maintained by Cory Godbey, a 23 year old illustrator. What is it about? well, as you know, it’s a blog, and it has a few posts explaining his workflow in photoshop to create his illustrations. I say it’s pretty cool, if you ask me.

I suggest you also visit his main blog, light night rains, where you’ll find more examples of his work.

Yosuke Ueno

If I had to describe Youske Ueno’s art with one word, it would be: weird. Weird, true, but great, cool :) I highly recommend you take a look at his gallery of paintings. One special things to notice is that his art is full of icons, and thank God, he’s put a page describing them, so we understand his iconography way better.

The Fine Art of Lori Earley

Lori Earley is an artist with a unique eerie style. Her paintings, mostly portraits, have a realistic but distorted touch (kind of an oxymoron, I know). You’ll see she pays special attention to the eyes, making them bigger, giving her paintings an awesome alien style. That’s the best way I could explain her illustrations/paintings. I guess it’s better if you go to her gallery and see her artwork

Massive Swerve

There’s something I love about blogs. They are more personal than a simple artist’s site showing his profile. You can find out about their news, projects, inside opinions, and all that stuff. So, this time, I want to give a quick link to Massive Swerve, which is Robert Valley’s blog.

He’s been posting a few pages of his book, which you can also buy at lulu.com. It’s just amazing. I want to buy it, though the final cost for me, as I live in Ecuador, due to shipping, goes up to 35 USD, which is a bit too much for me, so I’ll have to avoid that and visit his blog instead. You’ll find very very cool and sexy artwork over there. His style reminds me of that of fashion designers/sketchers. It’s very cool.

You might also want to visit his site, and above all, I recommend you watch one movie that is in his portfolio. It’s an immersive experience. The animation isn’t really complex, it’s just about you going to a party, taking drugs, meeting women, having sex. It’s really cool (and the music is perfect).

Again, I say, you’re going to love it. So, go for the massive swerve.

My little crockpot

Not much to say, my little crockpot is the personal blog of Jared Chapman, young artist living at Austin Texas. You’ll see some cool illustration, and his thoughts about everything. You may also want to check out his illustrations or his animation demo reel

Pyromaniac @ deviantart

Pyromaniac is a 19 year old artist from Chile. Yep, he’s young, and quite talented. His style is influenced by japanese anime, a lot, though he’s developed quite an original style.

You can check his illustrations at his deviantart gallery, most of them done in black and white. Worth paying a visit.

Figments

Figments is a collection of illustrations of imaginary monsters from the mind of Otis Framptom. Cute weird creatures.

If you’re up to a more comic style set of illustrations, you can see his gallery by clicking here.
