» Impressive

This time I’ll just leave the link, and let you discover it by yourselves. I really don’t know much about it, except that it’s japanese. The drawings in there seem simple at first, but their surreal themes are impressive. I really liked every single drawing over there.

really nice art over there. Go check it out, now! :)

Girl and guitar

A cute drawing

The artwork of Gez Fry

This site’s been in my bookmarks for a while, but I haven’t got the time to blog about it. Time, isn’t it what we all need? usually we complain that we cannot do a lot of things we’d like to, just because we don’t have the time. It’s a shame…if you want to do it, you probably can do it. Check out what Gez Fry did:

In 2002 Gez Fry decided, that he wants to make a living out of Japanese style illustration - without being experienced in drawing. Locking himself up in his bedroom in London he studied big masters like Masamune Shirow and developed enough skill and an astonishing portfolio to jump into the big market - within only 2 years. Here are some of his comments about how he draws, develops characters and why the Japanese Manga market is so tough.

His style is pretty awesome, too, and very japanese, even though he actually is from the UK (though he’s half japanese). As usual, I say, go check out his site, and don’t forget to visit his gallery of illustrations.

If you want to know more about him and the way he works, there’s a couple of interviews online at pingmag and pixelsurgeon.
