Origami diagrams

You’ll see an ugly site, but besides that, the contents are great. Check out some origami diagrams offered as pdf and gif files. Most of them can be done with a dollar bill, or a square piece of paper (depending on the diagram). They are not really complex, but it’s still quite cool.

Paper forest, great blog

Paper forest is a great blog for everything related to art where paper is the main material. As the creator of the blog puts it:

My objective on this blog has been to post any and all paper automata (my favorite topic to post), other interesting paper projects, and innovative paper art that doesn’t necessarily fit the standard mold.

So, why are you still here?

Crease Patterns

Crease patterns have become much more popular in the last 15 years as a means of conveying origami. Part of the reason is that it’s a lot easier to draw a single crease pattern than to draw a detailed step-by step folding sequence. Part of the reason is that many origami composers (including myself) construct crease patterns as part of their design process, so the finished crease pattern comes “for free.”

There are a few of those a Robert J. Lang Origami so you can create some cool origami figures like spiders, birds, flowers and some other stuff

Paper planes

Lowe-tech published a small flash animation on how to do some cool paper planes. Different styles, I’ll try them all later. I hope they fly. So, it’s a nice trick to know.
